There are a few mods you can get to add additional toxic damage to heavy weapons but unless you go up against goons, volatiles or demolishers you won't even be able to utilise the poison effect as one hit evicerates most biters. The angel mod (and actually any shock or fire mod) personally seems silly to me and breaks the immersion, what I do enjoy using are poison/toxic mods as I like the effort the development team put into it to show a little bottle strapped to the weapon dripping the venom onto the blade edge. I tried this and have to say that while it's satisfying to land a few blows It doesn't seem overpowered as such. It's descriptive text suggests you try it on those muscly-armoured cuddle machines we all know and love - The Demolishers. The Buzzkill/Buzzkiller (can't remember the exact name) mod for sledgehammers is good as it essentially turns it into a bladed weapon capable of shredding through several biters in one go. P.S.About the second question you had, there isn't many blueprints strong enough for blunt two handed-weapons,they usually add 180 to +200 to 390 extra damage but the strongest would be God Hammer that add 2x electricity + 2x fire of effect impact to your blunt two-handed weapon,be aware it add fire effect so watch out for virals coming to you and the toxin that will cause in the undead, wait couple seconds till the gas vanish and then you can loot them.Ī trick to stop the undead from vomitting (can only be done when using takedowns), simply walk or run into their position and push them, tackle perk or kick won't help, you just need to walk and push them to stop them from vomitting their guts before they call for more virals into your actual position. Most are received after completing side quests.Originally posted by DELTA FORCE:Imcapt is the best for hammers and all blunt weapons ''imcapt'' ?īest modification, ( can't remember by name, going check soon inside the game ),but anything that add 2x electricity and 2x of damage boost or bleeding is good, fire and toxic aren't that much since it cause the undead to stink causing nearby deterioration or poison to players, making you lose some health and it always.always attract more virals to your position. The best blueprints that you can get in game (not using DLC blueprints) are as follows(the ones that give the most extra damage)Īll-In-One, Angel Sword, Bolter Poison, Toxic Reaper and God Hammer. So if you prefer one-handed melee weapons, you would start adding points to that to get more base damage. This guide will help you to level both survivor and legend as quickly as can be done in the game.Īdding points, once legend is unlocked, into the weapon specific skill trees, will increase those weapons types damage by a certain % per point. Then adding blueprints and Mods will just be icing on the cake. We do encourage original content, however.īest is to max out your survivor and then your legend levels as maxing those will help with the best base damage on the weapons you will find and purchase.
